Founder & Principal Designer

Polly leads Birdie & Bean Interiors, where she and her team create refined, highly functional spaces designed for busy families, professionals, and their businesses. Her work is defined by a balance of elegance and ease, with homes and workspaces that feel considered, personal, and effortless to live in.

Her approach is rooted in the belief that great design should feel as good as it looks: intuitive, layered, and tailored to how clients truly live and work. Each project begins with a deep understanding of daily rhythms, resulting in spaces that are both elevated and deeply functional.

Polly holds a BA in Art History from Washington & Lee University and an MFA in Interior Design from The George Washington University. She began her career in Baltimore under a celebrated designer, where she developed a lasting appreciation for craftsmanship, quality, and thoughtful detail.

With over 15 years of experience, her portfolio spans private residences, offices, restaurants, and hotels. Whether designing a comprehensive home renovation or reimagining several key spaces, Polly and her studio provide a seamless, highly personalized design experience from concept through completion.

Based in Annapolis, Maryland, Polly lives with her husband, daughters, and a lively crew of corgis and chickens. She is also a personal trainer, often found teaching in local studios.
