I’m Polly Offutt, founder and principal designer of Birdie & Bean Interiors. Together with a small, dedicated team, I create refined, livable spaces that balance elegance, comfort, and individuality.

After earning my BA in Art History from Washington & Lee University and MFA in Interior Design from George Washington University, I began my career in Baltimore under one of the icons of the design world—a formative experience that shaped my appreciation for craftsmanship, quality, and thoughtful detail.

Birdie & Bean Interiors specializes in upscale, highly personalized interiors for busy families and businesses. Every project begins with a deep understanding of how our clients live and work, allowing us to design spaces that are both beautiful and truly functional. From comprehensive home renovations to redesigning a few key rooms, our studio provides a seamless, tailored experience from concept to completion.

Over the past 15 years, my work has spanned private residences, offices, restaurants, hotels, and private clubs. In each project, the goal remains the same: to create interiors that are timeless, distinctive, and deeply personal.

When I’m not designing, I enjoy life in Annapolis, MD, with my husband, daughters, corgis, and chickens—and stay active as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
